Adopting Your Puppy

Diamond Valley Kennels Adopting Your Puppy

First things first, decide on what breed is suited to your circumstances and look at our ‘find my puppy’ tab.  Once you have completed your research and happy to proceed, select the 'adopt now' button and register your details.  You will then be able to place your $300 non-refundable deposit via credit card payment to secure your puppy.

If you are based interstate, we will then contact you to arrange flight details. If you’re local, we will arrange a convenient time for collection and balance of payment (both are due within 7 days).

Puppy comes with a puppy starter pack plus an information pack. The puppy pack consists of blanket, collar, lead, a sample bag of Royal Canin Mini Puppy food, some puppy training pads and treats and a couple of toys to get you started.

The information pack gives you a few tips and hints of what puppy will need within the first few days of ownership.

Puppy will be flea and worm treated and will be up to date with treatments before collection. They are also vet checked, vaccinated (according to their age requirements) and microchipped.

We will ask you to complete a microchip form which we will register for you 7 business days after collection of puppy.  You will be responsible for puppies’ further vaccinations at 10-12 and 14-16 weeks of age as well as keeping up to date with flea and worm treatments at your own expense.

Selecting Your Puppy

Diamond Valley Kennels Selecting Your Puppy

We frequently update our website with available puppies that are ready to go home from 8 weeks old.  You can secure one online by placing a $300 non-refundable deposit on your chosen puppy and we then arrange with you a convenient time for you to collect and pay the outstanding balance. This must be within 7 days of purchase.

If you are ready to purchase your chosen puppy but wish to collect later (ie more than 7 days) please call us first to discuss the options available as we may be able to arrange something with you to suit.

Future Litters

Diamond Valley Kennels Future Litters

If you are not quite ready to purchase yet but have decided that Diamond Valley Kennels is your breeder of choice, you are welcome to join our waiting list.

People who join our Waiting Group will be notified as new litters are born within the timeframe that have indicated on their joining details. Then, it’s a matter of ‘first in-first served’. In other words, the first people to pay their deposits will get their puppies. Sometimes we have a litter with six puppies, other times there are only two puppies. We can’t make any guarantees.  Whilst we do allow people to visit our puppies, we will not risk germs or diseases entering our kennels.  Therefore, no other dogs or pets are allowed on site.

Additionally, we ask you to adhere to our rules whilst meeting your puppy. (ie children must be sitting when holding the puppy in the designated area for children and should be sitting when holding the puppy to avoid any harm to the puppy).
